Last Thursday Raleigh was blessed with a show by Kooley Highand The Lazaretto Crewon stage at Ruckus Pizza. The show was originally set to take place in Chapel Hill, but because of last minute technicalities the venue switched over to Raleigh. Even with last minute changes, the place was packed and full of vibe. Many of whom came out of town just to witness the sheer magnitude of the two heavyweights in one setting.

The future of Raleigh Hip Hop [L2R: Kooley High (Foolery, Charlie Smarts, Tab-One, DJ Ill Digitz, Rapsody [not shown], & Sinopsis [not shown]) DJ Wise, DJ E$, DJ St@tik, The Lazaretto Crew (King Mez, Donnie Vash), Commissioner Gordon]
Last week I met with Evan & Senadzi for their engagement session at Lake Johnson on a precariously warm and sunny day in the middle of January. This being said, I took advantage of it as much as possible! The high sun and placid lake along with proper compositions made for some memorable shots of the day. Evan and Senadzi are a great couple that have been together for four years and have decided to tie the knot come the end of 2010.
With the anticipation of King Mez and Commissioner Gordon’s new album entitled “The Paraplegics,” there has been much attention around the first single ‘Nowhere To Go’ featuring Thee Tom Hardy. A couple of weeks back, I met with King Mez and Commissioner Gordon to head the shoot for the promotional work of the album. This week I met with Thee Tom Hardyand King Mez to head the fotoshoot of their up and coming single. Working with such talented minds in one setting is always energizing. These men know how to really work and produce quality. Alongside that note, I had to go in and produce some of my own. Alas, The product of fisdj.foto as the head of fotography on ‘Nowhere To Go’:

The relentless duo, King Mez x Commissioner Gordon, blessed 88.1 couple of weeks ago with a live radio interview and album preview. Arriving at the studio at 12 AM with the crew was too real, specially in the middle of winter. The set was real cool, a lot of people showed love as the men did their thing. Shout outs to DJ Wise, DJ E$andDJ St@tikfor all the support.
January 14, 2010 - 11:27 AMDavid Scrivner - Loved the shots. I know broadcasting studios have pretty tight space, but I would have liked to see you move around or get some wide shots of the whole area just to diversify your shots.
Keep up the good work!
January 14, 2010 - 10:14 PMfisdj - I appreciate it homie! Yeah it really was tight, I do have some wider composed shots but I am very critical of my work haha. I'ma definitely take some wide angles in the next up and coming shoots, keep checking back!
